I doubt many of these women even realized they were discipling me. But by making time for me to be with them, I learned truths about Christian womanhood that I still carry with me today. One of the best ways you can disciple the teen girl in your life is simply by inviting her into your every day.
What I appreciate about the message of this book is the freedom it offers to accept my own boundaries and limitations without guilt or comparison. No, I can’t do as much as some people or handle as much noise, busyness, or stress — and that’s okay.

God isn’t asking us to completely change who we are or who he created us to be. But he will sometimes ask us to face stress and challenges in order to grow and refine us into the women he wants us to be.
Some moms can deal with more noise, activity, and stress than I can; that’s great–but it doesn’t change the way God made me. I need to recognize where the edge of my personality is and not try to push beyond it on a regular basis.
Whenever you post something, I hold onto it, especially if I cannot take the time to sit and read and ponder on it. Your words are so beautiful and meaningful. This particular post I have held on to for far to long, waiting to read it until now. Changing churches is a tough one, one we have had to do several times. It does take a while to truly feel at home. To know when you walk into the building it is home, it is safe, it is a bit of heaven here on earth. I hope by now it is all of that for you. A place to be ministered to and a place for your ministry, which I know you have and five so freely. Changing churches amid covid has been really challenging. But I’m confident we are were God wants us to be and eventually these seeds we’re planting will grow into good things.
