Kari, this is absolutely beautiful. Your words express so much. After almost 70years on earth and almost 50 years of marriage, I have been through the seasons you describe. Those first few are so hard and yes, the grief is real. But, the lesson learned in those first seasons that change is that the God of our universe never leaves you nor forsakes (turn His back on you) you. He has a beautiful path for you and your family.
